Building a full-stack app from scratch sucks, especially now that AI is becoming part of the stack.

For Hobbyists

I've included a starter template for those who want to build simple AI-powered apps. The template is heavily documented – I've put up comments and sample commands throughout the code and README files.

If you've never worked with one of the frameworks or tools used in the template, no worries. I've also included links to documentation and relevant resources.

This should save you 6-8 hours of time setting up the core features for a new AI-powered app and understanding what's happening everywhere. No more Chrome windows full of Stack Overflow and "Getting Started with (cool technology)" tabs.

• Playing around with vector databases (Pinecone and Supabase pgvector)

This template includes built-in authentication with Clerk. Other features include "streaming" chat responses and integration with Vercel's new ai-sdk.

2. Which plan is right for me?

If you're new to development or just tinkering with an idea, I'd recommend the Hobbyist plan. If you want to release your app in production or build something with vector databases, I'd recommend the Developer plan.

3. Is this really worth $25?

If you had to set up the frontend, databases, authentication, text streaming, etc. yourself you'd need to spend tons of hours. I've already done all that work for you in advance.
